Employees eligible for health benefits received emails from “noreply.HRPRD1@doa.virginia.gov” notifying them that Benefits Confirmations are now available in Cardinal ESS for the upcoming plan year July 2022 through June 2023. Cardinal generated a benefits confirmation statement for each eligible employee whether or not the employee made any changes during open enrollment, and included employees with waived coverage. The confirmation statements do not reflect premium rewards that begin July 2022 and are not yet processed by the plan administrators. Grace Period For 2021
In an effort to meet the needs of employees during these extraordinary times, the Commonwealth is adding a grace period to the 2021-2022 DCFSA plan year , which will extend the period to incur claims under the DCFSA until September 15, 2022. The grace period is a predetermined timeframe after the plan year ends that enables participants to spend down any funds remaining from the previous plan year. Employees enrolled in the DCFSA on June 30, 2022 who have a balance remaining may continue using the funds to file for claims incurred from July 1, 2022 through September 15, 2022. All claims must be received by PayFlex no later than October 30, 2022 in order to be eligible for reimbursement under the grace period. See more information and Q& A on the state program’s web site. Each individual covered on an employee’s health plan can receive up to eight over-the-counter COVID-19 tests each month. This is a clean community with friendly staff. There were some response time issues that we dealt with like with laundry and other things with my father. It has been addressed and we feel safe with my loved one here. They have activities like bingo, art, trips outside the community, happy hour, ethnic celebrations, movies, singing, church services and more for the residents to do.
We had a terrible experience. They messed up our appointment to come tour and were very unorganized. If they were that unorganized just with setting up an appointment, I knew this would not be the place to put my loved one.
We chose Commonwealth because I walked through and saw a lot of veterans talking sports and that is something that my uncle could get into. The people here are more bluecollar and I liked the atmosphere. The apartment size is good for him, he is in the smallest one and it works for what he needs. I would recommend them to others.
Our experience up until the last two weeks have been excellent. When we are able to visit the community is very clean and the staff members are very friendly. Our loved one has yet to complain about the meals so we assume they are pretty good, and we do know our loved one likes participating in bingo. Currently we are just going through some issues.

Cova Health Plan Premiums Will Not Increase For The 2022
The 2022-2024 state budget recently approved by the General Assembly and signed by the Governor does not include the proposed employee premium increases for COVA Care, COVA HealthAware, and COVA HDHP that were published during open enrollment for the July 2022 – June 2023 plan year. Premiums for these plans will remain the same as in 2021-2022. The Optima Health and Kaiser Permanente premium changes published during open enrollment will will still take effect in July, 2022. Irs 1095 Forms For Health Plan Participants
The Office of Health Benefits at the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management mailed 1095-C forms for 2021 to state employee health plan participants during the weeks of January 24 and January 31, 2022. Internal Revenue Service guidance states that the forms are not required in order to file a tax return and should not be filed with a tax return. VCU Human Resources does not receive copies of these forms. If you did not receive your 1095 form and would like to request a duplicate, send a request to OHB at including your health plan member ID number and a current mailing address. Replacement forms are issued within 7-10 days.
